Adding a little one to your life results in a lot of questions, from breastfeeding to postpartum recovery. To help you, we’ve designed a series of group lactation visits to answer your questions and more.
The Fairview First Days program is for soon-to-be moms and moms of infants up to 8 weeks old. Learn along with other moms in a fun, caring environment. This also is an opportunity to check your baby's weight and get help with any latching issues. Sessions are led by providers and may include lactation consultants, midwives, nurse practitioners, or other clinic staff. You may attend each class, or just those that your schedule allows.Session 1: Preparing for baby:

Preparing to breastfeed and what it means to give birth in a Baby-Friendly hospital.Session 2: All about breastfeeding
When: Second Wednesday of the month
Breastfeeding support and education, including how to get a good latch, feeding schedules and milk supply.Session 3: Pumping and newborn behavior
When: Third Wednesday of the month
Guidelines for pumping and storing breast milk, along with baby growth spurts and behavior cues.Session 4: Newborn FAQs and mom's wellbeing
When: Fourth Wednesday of the month
Answers to newborn FAQs and information about exercise, abdominal muscles, sex, and mood after your baby arrives.
The first session, Preparing for Baby, is free. Sessions 2-4 are billed as a lactation visit and may be covered by your insurance.
