Diabetes Education

Our team of certified diabetes educators will help you learn how to stay healthy with diabetes. At your appointment, you'll meet with a registered dietitian or registered nurse who is certified in diabetes education. The appointment focuses on answering your questions and providing you with the information needed to best manage your diabetes. We'll help you better understand diabetes self-management and set realistic lifestyle goals to keep you healthy.

Diabetes education services are available at a variety of convenient locations, including both Fairview and HealthEast clinics.

Diabetes classes and support groups

We offer group class sessions for those newly diagnosed with diabetes or prediabetes and monthly diabetes support groups. Diabetes educators will lead discussions and provide you with helpful tips and tools for living well with diabetes.

Diabetes
We offer individual appointments and group classes for those diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. A MD referral is required.

Pre-diabetes Class
Pre-diabetes class is a community education class and does not require a referral.

Support Groups
You are welcome to bring family and friends. No registration is necessary:

Fairview Clinics – Fridley
Second Wednesday of the month except June, July and August, 1:15-2:15 p.m.;

Fairview Clinics – Wyoming
Fourth Tuesday of the month except June, July and August, 6-7 p.m
