Consultations & scheduling

Once a surgical problem has been identified by you or your doctor, you will need to come in for a surgical consultation. This visit can be scheduled by calling 651-471-9400.

During the consultation, your surgeon will:

  • Review tests you have already had.
  • Review your health history.
  • Perform a physical exam.
  • Explain surgical options.
  • Answer your questions.
  • Together, decide how to proceed.

After the consultation, we will summarize our recommendations to you and to your referring physician. Our staff can help you schedule surgery, additional tests, or follow-up appointments.

Pre-op physical

Before surgery, every patient needs a preoperative physical. If you arrive at surgery without having a pre-op physical, your procedure will be cancelled. This is because any surgery carries some risk and we want to reduce that risk as much as possible.
