Fairview Range Names Patrick Sharp New CEO

Fairview Range has a new leader.

Patrick Sharp has been named Chief Executive Officer of Fairview Range following unanimous approval by the Range Regional Health Services (RRHS) Board of Directors in June, and by the Executive Committee of the Fairview Health Services Board at their September meeting. Sharp has been serving as Interim President/Chief Executive Officer of Fairview Range since January of 2018 following the retirement of Debra Boardman.

Sharp joined Fairview Range in 2009 and served in several positions within the organization prior to being named CEO, including Director of Clinic Operations and Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer.

“Patrick demonstrates a high level of passion, energy, and commitment to rural healthcare,” says Laura Reed, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Nurse Executive for Fairview Health Services. “I’m so excited to have him as a part of our leadership team.”

“Patrick Sharp is a data-driven leader who understands the importance of relationship building and transparent communication,” says Mike Raich, Board Chair of the Range Regional Health Services (RRHS) Board of Directors. “In his short term as interim President/CEO, Patrick has re-energized Fairview Range’s connections with important external partners and began the process of building a progressive roadmap for the future of the organization. On behalf of the RRHS Board of Directors, I congratulate him on a well-deserved appointment!”

“It is a true honor to be selected as the next leader of Fairview Range,” says Sharp. “I look forward to continuing our journey with the Fairview Health Services system; and together with our staff and all of our medical providers, I know we can achieve our full potential as a world class rural destination for healthcare excellence.”

Sharp is a graduate of Augsburg College, where he earned both a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master of Business Administration (MBA). He and his wife, Dr. Sereen Sharp, live in Hibbing and are parents of four young children.
