Care Philosophy

Clinical social workers in pediatric oncology support patients and families with the adjustment from diagnosis until their transition to long term survivorship. While serving as an advocate for each family, we are clinically trained to promote healthy coping and adjustment during a time of transition. We are independently licensed to provide mental health counseling and assessment. In addition to therapeutic interventions we also address practical barriers, such as financial, school, and employment concerns, transport and lodging, and connection with community resources.
