Fairview Behavioral Services offers a structured, secure inpatient environment for children ages 13 to 18 needing crisis intervention or mental health care.
A unique treatment plan is developed for every patient in order to make care personalized and more effective. Patients will learn to set and reach goals, develop communication skills and resolve conflicts in both individual and group therapy settings. When discharged, patients will leave with a comprehensive plan to help continue the progress made during treatment at home. We encourage open communication with all members of a child’s support network, including parents, school personnel and other community professionals.
Crisis Intervention
This specialty program provides immediate intervention and evaluation for adolescents in an emergency situation. Our goal is to resolve the current crisis, help the adolescent and family develop coping mechanisms, and create a plan for follow-up care after discharge.
Intensive Treatment Center (ITC)
The ITC is a small secure unit within a larger secure unit. This program is designed to care for patients that require a quieter, less stimulating environment. The ITC provides a higher staff-to-patient ratio, allowing for more personalized attention. Admission to the ITC is determined by the treatment team.
Family Involvement
Family involvement is a central component of our philosophy. Family members are expected to participate in the assessment process and attend regular family therapy sessions.
