Spiritual and emotional care plays an important role in restoring your health and maintaining your wellness. Your spirit needs special attention during life-changing events such as birth, surgery, rehabilitation and illness. Woodwinds is proud to offer spiritual care as part of our hospital services.

Marian Chapel is always open on the ground level between the cafeteria and Radiology. Bibles, religious texts, prayer request cards and care notes are available in the chapel for your use. All people, of any faith or no faith, are welcome to pray or reflect in the chapel at Woodwinds.

To request a chaplain or get assistance connecting with your place of worship, ask a nurse or call the Spiritual Care department: 651-223-0062.

The Catholic Eucharist is offered daily by our volunteer Eucharistic ministers. Patients, family members and friends may request the Sacrament of the Sick from the patient or family’s home parish.
Protestant Communion may be brought in by the patient’s own clergy or requested from a hospital chaplain.
Patients and families may arrange ceremonies from other spiritual traditions through the Spiritual Care department.
All rooms are equipped with a telephone, and local calls are free. You may bill long distance calls to your home or credit card, or call collect. Courtesy phones are located near the Auditorium.

If you'd like to call a hospital patient but don’t know the patient’s phone number, call the hospital operator at 651-232-0228, and your call will be transferred. If you know the patient’s phone number, you can call the patient’s room directly any time. We suggest calling between 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. to allow the patient to rest and keep sleep disturbances to a minimum.

Cell phone use is not allowed in patient rooms. You may use cell phones in the main lobby, Towne Center and Woods Café.
In Room Menu: Dining by Design, Woodwinds’ inpatient room service, offers guest trays for patient visitors. Orders are taken by the Room Service Ambassador, who can be reached by calling the number listed on the menu.

Woods Cafe: We offer creative meal options made with fresh, flavorful ingredients. Hours: Breakfast: 7:00 to 9:30 a.m., Lunch 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Dinner: 4:30 to 7:00 p.m.

Vending Machines: Vending machines are located near the cafeteria and are available 24 hours a day.

We are a fragrance and smoke-free facility. Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the hospital campus.
