The Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) has declared the flu widespread in our state. To protect the health of our patients and employees, any sick persons regardless of age and anyone with known exposure to a contagious illness are restricted from visiting.
Please note: We are changing the name of this location to align with our new brand, M Health Fairview. However, you may still encounter our former branding while we update signage and materials. We apologize for any confusion this may cause.
M Health Fairview Southdale Hospital serves the greater Twin Cities metro area. We’re known for our award-winning heart, stroke and cancer care. We also provide on-site access to a variety of specialty services, from childbirth and pediatrics to orthopedics and surgery. We have been designated a Level III Trauma Center, which means our emergency support services are staffed 24-hours a day to help support the Southdale community if the need arises.
For the second year in a row, M Health Fairview Southdale Hospital was awarded a 5-Star rating (the highest available) in the 2019 Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) “Hospital Compare” quality survey. Southdale, along with Fairview Ridges Hospital, were the only two hospitals in the Twin Cities to receive the five-star rating from CMS. Learn more about our award winning care.
