Fairview Range JobCare offers qualified specialists to provide select health care services to employers on the Iron Range and Northern Minnesota. Our specialists are trained and certified according to the Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation (CAOHC), NIOSH, OSHA, and MSHA requirements, to ensure your compliance needs. They also are trained under the WorkWell Systems and are experts in delivering quality service and maintaining surveillance test data.

Audiometric Testing - OSHAFairview Range JobCare Occupational Health Services in conjunction with Fairview Range Medical Center is a training center for the American Heart Association, offering Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers, and basic life support (CPR and Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) for non-healthcare providers in the workplace and community on a contract basis.
Training sessions are tailored to the customer’s specific needs whether it is at the workplace or in a classroom setting.
Our staff members are AHA certified instructors and are experienced in health education and occupational health, along with first hand firefighter experience. We instruct all our courses in accordance with the AHA guidelines and the most current standards in CPR and First Aid.
List of Classes:
All medical certificates issued to interstate truck and bus drivers must come from medical examiners listed on the National Registry. Our provider, Jay Hildenbrand, DC operates under the Federal guidelines for performing DOT physicals and is certified on the National Registry.
DOT physicals can be scheduled conveniently for you or your organization. Our examination incorporated required medical assessment including vision, hearing, blood pressure/ pulse and urine specimen testing as well as review of medical history. Usual time to finish an exam is between 15-20 minutes. Same Day appointments are often available.

OSHA 1910.156 (b) (2) The employer shall not permit employees with known heart disease, epilepsy, or emphysema, to participate in fire brigade emergency activities…Our team is supported by licensed healthcare providers who specialize in occupational health issues. Testing will be reviewed and interpreted based on screening results. Confidential, individual reports are provided for each participant. The Fire Chief is provided with a listing of clearance for firefighting and any recommendations for follow-up if necessary.

Tdap Vaccine can protect adolescents and adults from Tetanus, Diphtheria and Pertussis. Tetanus (lockjaw) causes painful muscle tightening and stiffness. Diphtheria causes a thick coating to form in the back of the throat which can lead to breathing problems. Pertussis (Whooping Cough) severe coughing spells causing difficulty breathing. Tdap is especially important for healthcare professionals and anyone having close contact with a baby younger than 12 months.
Td protects against tetanus and diphtheria, but not pertussis. A Td booster should be given every 5-10 years. It is recommended a Tdap be given as one of these boosters if you have never received a Tdap before.
Influenza VaccineIt is recommended that healthy adults with no other risk factors for heart disease be tested with a fasting lipid profile once every five years. The sample is collected from a finger stick and results are available in 7 minutes. The profile results are total cholesterol, HDL (good), LDL (bad), triglycerides, TC/HDL ratio (heart disease risk ratio), and glucose. The clients test results are reviewed with the nurse and informational brochures are available.
The Mantoux tuberculin skin test (TST) or the TB blood test can be used to test for M. tuberculosis infection. Additional tests are required to confirm TB disease. TB disease has multiple signs and symptoms and is spread from person to person through the air. Others can breathe the TB germs into their lungs and contract TB infection. TB infection is not contagious and does not have signs and symptoms. If someone with TB infection is not treated with medicine they could develop TB disease.
You should get tested if:
