While staying at Fairview Lakes Medical Center, patients enjoy a traditional style meal service on the medical/surgical unit and room service in The Birthplace. Our nutrition staff delivers your meals and accommodates your food preferences, allergies or comments according to your diet. Room service is also available to family and visitors in patient rooms for low cost.
A cafeteria, located at the west end of the main floor atrium, is designed to offer our guests and staff a convenient place to enjoy a meal. Hours are Monday – Friday: 6:30 a.m. – 7 p.m. A variety of entrees are served daily between the following times:
Breakfast: 8 a.m. – 9:45 a.m.
Lunch: 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
Dinner: 5:15 – 7 p.m.
Grab-and-go meals, snacks and the salad bar are available in between meal times.
Our gift shop shares space with the Fairview Pharmacy and is located near the hospital’s main entrance on first floor. Hours are Monday – Friday: 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday: 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. and Sunday: noon – 8 p.m.
Lounges are available for family and friends who need space to rest or talk.
Your mail and flowers from friends and family are delivered daily, Monday through Friday.
Newspapers are available in lounges and at nursing stations.
Satellite television in each room provides a variety of closed circuit, local and national channels.
Your friends and families may send an online e-card to stay in touch and send their wishes. Volunteer Services prints and hand delivers to them to patients. Greeting received by noon weekdays are delivered that same day if a volunteer is available.
Stamps are available for purchase in the Gift Shop. Any staff member can arrange to mail a letter for you.
