Research Administration manages recruitment options to support researchers in extending the opportunity to participate in research to patients across the M Health Fairview system.

There are 2 recruitment service options available – mailing letters by USPS and sending notifications through MyChart (our patient portal). Below are items to consider as you determine if these options are appropriate for your study.

MyChart may be a good option if the items below are applicable to the study.

  • Staff have Epic access (responses are sent to Inbasket)
  • Ability to address patient response within 2-3 days
  • Funding available
  • Limited direct access to required patient population
  • Short window from patient identification to enrollment
     

Letters via USPS may be a good option if the items below are applicable to the study.

  • Ability to address patient response within 2-3 days
  • Funding available
  • Limited direct access to required patient population
  • MyChart usage is low in required patient population

Fairview Research Pricing Request for Grant Submissions


Fairview Research Administration along with members of the UMN Medical School Research Office and department research management have collaborated to streamline the process for submitting a Fairview Pricing Request as part of the grant proposal process. This process is intended for faculty members who are submitting grant proposals that incorporate Fairview Services for clinical research participant visits, tests, and procedures conducted as part of research studies.
