Education
”A community, learning together, to improve healthcare and health”
Our work with students is coordinated by our education team. The education team – led by Chief Academic Officer Dr. Bradley Benson and Mira Jurich, Education Manager – is focused on the learner, educator and education program support. We strive to provide an exceptional clinical education experience for our learners in a team-based best practice care setting.
As a part of our commitment to education, we provide students with clinical and non-clinical learning experiences. Students from colleges and universities with which Fairview has an affiliation agreement are eligible to participate in learning experiences such as clinical rotations or precepted experiences for credit in our facilities. Our team is available to assist you with clinical and non-clinical student placements and onboarding.

Observations
High school, undergraduate, and graduate observer opportunities are available throughout our system for career exploration. These experiences are limited to 24 hours per experience and are not to be used to fulfill academic credit. They are strictly hands-off observation only opportunities for the purpose of shadowing a Fairview employee to understand the day-to-day work of a provider in a specific field.
The Medical Education team does not have a matching process for observation opportunities, as we do not maintain the schedules and availability of the various departments and providers across the healthcare system.
To initiate the onboarding process for observation opportunities, the observer must have a designated preceptor lined up who has agreed to host them first. Please email Students@fairview.org and provide the below information. Then, the Education team will respond with the appropriate next step onboarding instructions for the observer to complete.

Faith Partnership Programs
Fairview partners with many different faith communities to fulfill unmet health needs in the areas we serve. The Fairview Interfaith Health Collaborative works to make our communities healthier through programs like parish nurses, immunization clinics and health education.
