Instructor(s) Bio

Kelli Bosholm graduated with her Master's degree in Physical Therapy in 2004 from the College of St. Catherine. She obtained her transitional Doctor of Physical Therapy later in 2004. In 2008, she completed the Herdman competency-based course in vestibular rehabilitation. Kelli has practiced in both the inpatient and outpatient settings treating patients with vestibular disorders.

Melissa Nyberg graduated with her Master’s degree in Physical Therapy in 2001, from Des Moines University. In 2013, she successfully completed the Herdman competency-based course in vestibular rehabilitation. Since then, her practice has centered on treating teens and adults with vestibular dysfunction and post-concussion syndrome. In addition to treating patients, Melissa enjoys working with providers and other members of the rehab team to educate them on vestibular dysfunction and rehab.

Objectives

  1. Identify the 2 most common peripheral vestibular disorders
  2. Determine the most likely cause of dizziness based on signs and symptoms
  3. Be able to provide inpatient treatment and know when to refer to outpatient vestibular rehab
