All Vendor Representatives who conduct business with Fairview Health Services and go onsite to any hospital must complete the vendor certification process. Vendor Representatives are individuals who represent a specific company or distributor for a Business Partner. Business Partners provide goods or services to Fairview. Vendor Representatives are the employees, agents and/or contractors of Fairview’s Business Partners.
Vendor Representative Certification must be completed for the following areas:
- Clinical/patient care related products
- Services and Pharmaceutical
- Medical Repair Technicians
- Facilities
This is not an all-inclusive list. Fairview will periodically review the areas within its hospital site, and, at its sole discretion, may require certification by providing advanced notice to vendors and business partners to ensure compliance.
Fairview will purchase products and services only from authorized and certified vendors. However, certification does not guarantee that products or services will be used in Fairview. In addition, appropriate Fairview decision-makers must review new products before product payment or use. By implementing vendor certification program, Fairview aims to:
- Promote the safest environment of care
- Achieve the best patient care outcomes
- Support best business practices

Vendor Representative Certification
In accordance with the vendor certification policy, Vendor Representatives must fulfill the following requirements by reading and acknowledging the following within the third party portal:
Flu vaccine documentation is required. COVID-19 vaccine is not required.
Fairview requires all vendor representatives visiting health care facilities to get vaccinated for seasonal flu and provide documentation for certification.
