Employee Assistance Program

Your first call for help

Hello! Your employer has partnered with Fairview Health Services to offer you the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) as an additional part of your benefits. The EAP offers you free, short-term counseling and referral services to support you through any number of personal or work-related challenges.

Why EAP?

We all experience difficulties from time to time. They can interfere with our happiness at home or work. The EAP is available to support you before certain issues develop into larger problems. The program is designed to assist you during challenging times, when outside support can make a huge difference.

What can EAP do for me?

EAP gives you access to free, short-term counseling, referral and support services. You may use up to six short-term counseling sessions per year. No issue is too large or too small to contact EAP for assistance.

Here are some common concerns employees seek help for, including:
  • Work/life balance
  • Parenting concerns
  • Family and marital concerns
  • Domestic violence
  • Relationship issues
  • Childcare
  • Eldercare concerns
  • Work issues
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Emotional Distress
  • Substance abuse and other addictions
  • Illness and loss
  • Financial difficulties
And more . . .

Individuals who have used EAP services have found that after a few brief sessions with an EAP counselor, they are better able to manage the difficulties they encounter in their daily work and personal lives.
