Fairview Northland Medical Center again makes list of ‘100 Great Community Hospitals’

Only four in Minnesota earned a spot

Fairview Northland Medical Center has again been recognized as a great place to get care. Becker’s Hospital Review named it one of “100 Great Community Hospitals” for the second year in a row.

“Being included in this list is a reflection of the hard work, culture and passion that employees have for patient care here at Northland,” says Greg Schoen, MD, Vice President of Medical Affairs. “There’s a sense of small town, where patients are given a higher level of attention and they and their family members’ needs are met. We’re not just treating their health issue, but we’re taking care of their emotional and spiritual needs as well.”

Considering hospitals with 550 or fewer beds, Becker’s selected the list based on rankings and ratings from outside organizations. For example, Fairview Northland earned a four-star rating from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services in 2019, placing it in the top 30% of hospitals in the country.

Serving Princeton and nearby communities since 1993, Fairview Northland is a full-service, 24-hour medical center with specialty services such as heart and cancer care, orthopedics, pediatrics and surgery.
