University of Minnesota Health Lakes Cancer Center has been honored for meeting the highest standards in treating breast cancer.

Everything from management to research to community outreach was considered in the center being granted a full three-year accreditation by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC). On the campus of Fairview Lakes Medical Center in Wyoming, it’s one of only eight cancer centers in Minnesota to earn this recognition.

Lakes Cancer Center is a leader in the field, with state-of-the-art digital and 3D mammograms to provide clear, accurate screening and diagnosis. Patients benefit from a team approach to their care, including access to M Health experts. Services include surgery, rehab, and access to clinical trials and new treatments.

“The NAPBC accreditation is a tremendous honor,” says Li Lisa Ge, MD, Medical Director. “We are proud to offer our patients the combined benefit of advanced, science-driven medicine with a personalized, compassionate, community approach to treatment and follow-up care.”
