For a second year running, Fairview Northland Medical Center has been named one of the nation’s 100 Top Hospitals by Truven Health Analytics, within the “small community hospital” peer comparison group.
The award recognizes hospitals and leadership teams that provide the highest level of value to their communities and scores organizational performance across 11 key measures including patient care, operational efficiency and financial stability.
“The 2017 100 Top Hospitals award winners represent the highest national standards in hospital care and management,” said Jean Chenoweth, senior vice president at Truven Health Analytics. “This year’s winners have reached new highs in performance in comparison to peers across the country.”
Based on the results of this year’s study, if all hospital patients with Medicare coverage received the same level of care as those treated in the award-winning facilities:
If the same standards were applied to all inpatient care, the impact would be even greater.
“Being recognized as a top 100 hospital for a second year in a row is an indication of the dedication and commitment of our staff to providing the best care for our patients and the communities we serve,” said John Herman, president, Fairview Northland Medical Center.
