We hate to say it, but flu season is just around the corner. We’ll be ready to help you and your loved ones stay well with flu shots and health information.
New this year, Fairview will not offer FluMist (nasal flu vaccine spray) to patients for the 2016-2017 flu season.
This decision is based on recommendations from an advisory panel of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
However, the CDC continues to recommend annual flu vaccination, with either the inactivated influenza vaccine (IIV) or recombinant influenza vaccine (RIV), for everyone six months and older.
Fairview hospitals and medical centers and Fairview Clinics will continue to offer injection flu vaccine to patients.
