MINI Clinic Celebrates 10 Years of Service

Our Minnesota Immunization Networking Initiative—more commonly known as MINI— is celebrating 10 years of providing free influenza immunizations to underserved populations in the greater Twin Cities area.

That adds up to 64,000 free influenza vaccinations and 350 dental varnishes for children. All of that was made possible with the help of 880 volunteers from Fairview, partner health care organizations, community volunteers and students.

“They trust the people that volunteer with us,” says Cristina Flood, community health manager for one of our MINI partners, St. Mary’s Health Clinics. “There are people [for whom these are] the only health services that they get so it’s very important to come to the community to meet them where they are—at a trusted place.”
