1. Make it easy to read: Your resume should be clean, organized and easy to read. The flow should be natural and have consistent punctuation, font and formatting. Be sure to leave plenty of white space between headings and bullet point items rather than having multiple paragraphs.

2. Highlight accomplishments and achievements: Be sure to include information that gives context to your previous positions. Use numbers, qualities and outcomes that will show your accomplishments and effort. Your resume should promote your potential as well as your experience.

3. Have multiple people proofread your document: Your resume should not include any spelling or formatting errors. It is best to have multiple people proof read your resume.
