With HealthEast Heart Care expanding its Woodbury location, patients no longer have to drive elsewhere to get the cardiovascular services they need. The expansion includes new patient rooms, testing and treatment for more conditions, more appointments on more days, and a new cardiac device clinic.
“It’s clear that people want to get as much care as they can close to home,” says cardiologist Thomas Johnson, MD. “This expansion is a great way to meet our patients where they are and help them receive all of their services in their community.”
HealthEast Heart Care has one of the most advanced teams in the region, bringing together cardiologists, surgeons, and other experts, including the resources of Fairview and University of Minnesota Health. Plus, the expansion at Woodwinds Health Campus in Woodbury allows patients to see a heart care provider five days a week.
HealthEast Heart Care is also the largest provider of heart care diagnostics in the Woodbury area. Services you can get include:
Specialty treatment for heart failure and atrial fibrillation is now available at the Woodwinds location, too.
“This expansion is complementary to our in-patient services and emergency room at Woodwinds,” Dr. Johnson says. “Many in-patient heart conditions can be treated here.”
The new cardiac device clinic provides services for pacemakers and implanted defibrillators. Patients will benefit from the convenience of having their devices evaluated and adjusted right there in the clinic.
The Woodbury device clinic is the third HealthEast location offering this service in the East Metro.
