Fairview Northland named one of America’s “100 Great Community Hospitals”

Only three in Minnesota made the list.

Fairview Northland Medical Center in Princeton is one of America’s best places to get care – officially.

Becker’s Hospital Review, a health care news publication, has named Fairview Northland to its 2018 list of “100 Great Community Hospitals.”

“Fairview Northland doesn’t just serve the Princeton community. It’s part of the Princeton community,” says Laura Reed, President of Fairview hospitals and Chief Nursing Executive. “Providing outstanding care and an exceptional patient experience close to home is part of the commitment we’ve made to our neighbors.”

For the list, Becker's examined hospitals with 550 or fewer beds and chose winners based on several outside ranking and rating organizations.

Fairview Northland holds a four-star rating in overall hospital quality from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, and has been named a top 100 hospital by both IBM Watson Health and Truven Health Analytics. It received a Women’s Choice Award for obstetrics.

Serving Princeton and nearby communities since 1993, Fairview Northland is a full-service, 24-hour medical center with specialty services such as heart and cancer care, orthopedics, pediatrics, and general surgery.
