Fairview Home Infusion expands to Duluth

Now serving patients in the Arrowhead region

Patients in the Arrowhead region who need chemotherapy, IV antibiotics, or infusions such as Remicade for Crohn’s disease or Radicava for ALS now have a new option close to home.

Fairview Home Infusion has opened in Duluth, providing a local source for customized and home-delivered medications, as well as a nearby place for patients who need their first dose administered or need medical supervision during infusion.

“People no longer need to wait for their medication to be delivered from St. Cloud or the Twin Cities,” says Dan Teich, program manager.  “We’re here, we’re in town, and we’re going to make sure patients get what they need when they need it.”

Patients in the hospital may also be able to get home sooner if they have the option of home infusion.

Fairview takes care of the insurance pre-authorizations, provides pharmacist and nursing expertise, and offers 24/7 on-call support. As part of a larger health system, the infusion center can also connect patients to a broad range of other services they might need at home.

“We’re now more locally accessible, but with the strength and expertise of the Fairview system behind us,” Teich says. “By tapping into those resources, we’re able to offer high-quality care, cost savings, and convenience to Duluth and the surrounding communities.”

Patients can be referred to Fairview Home Infusion through their doctor.

Licensed to work with both adult patients and children, Fairview Home Infusion has served the five-state region for more than 25 years. The new center is at 1527 London Road in Duluth.
