About H.E.A.R.R.T.
If you're at risk for heart disease or have been recently diagnosed with heart disease, don't miss this 3-hour workshop. H.E.A.R.R.T., or Heart Education And Risk Reduction Tips is designed to show you how to make changes that mean a lot to your heart's health. Led by exercise physiologists, occupational therapists and registered dietitians, this workshop highlights heart-healthy eating, weight and stress management, smoking and diabetes and easy ways to incorporate exercise in to your day.

Is H.E.A.R.R.T. for Me?
H.E.A.R.R.T. is for anyone diagnosed with, or at risk for, heart disease. The workshop's primary goal is to reduce your risk for a heart event through self-care. Because support from family and friends are key to your success, we encourage family members to participate in the workshop. In three short hours, participants will learn valuable strategies to control high blood pressure and cholesterol, and to change or manage lifestyle risk factors. All participants receive reference materials and heart-healthy recipes.

H.E.A.R.R.T. is offered monthly at four convenient locations in the metro area: Fairview Northland Regional Hospital, Fairview Ridges Hospital, Fairview Southdale Hospital and at Fairview-University Medical Center—Riverside campus.
