Orthotics
Orthotic devices provide stability and support. Some braces are meant to maintain posture, provide proper body alignment or compensate for weakness, and others to reduce muscle tone contributing to spasticity. With proper fit, training and care, these devices compensate for a wide variety of muscular and skeletal disorders. Among the devices are:
- Cranial reshaping helmets for infants
- Foot orthoses for running injuries or heel pain
- Halo braces for neck injuries
- Spinal braces for support following surgery
- Braces to correct posture or deformities
- Knee braces
Prosthetics
Artificial limbs (prostheses) can greatly enhance your lifestyle in the wake of an amputation. Our prosthetists consult with you and your physician before surgery whenever possible. They evaluate your specific needs to ensure your new limb fits well and performs smoothly. The prosthetic team uses the latest in computer-aided design and manufacturing technology to assure your prescription is accurately followed – one of the only prosthetic laboratories in the Twin Cities to do so.
Are your liners & socks in good condition?
Are you due for a check-up?
Fairview Prosthetics encourages all clients who have prosthetic devices to return every six month for a check-up. You may benefit from an adjustment, modification or change in your prosthesis. Check out new products that could improve your comfort and function.
