• Demonstrate appropriate placement of the stethoscope for detecting sounds of swallowing.
• Describe detection of normal sounds of swallowing in an adult or pediatric volunteer using cervical auscultation.
• Identify 3 abnormal sounds of swallowing that may be detected with cervical auscultation in patients with swallowing disorders.
• List a location where cervical auscultation equipment is accessible at their site of practice.
