Oftentimes the recreation and leisure needs of individuals who have acquired a disability through brain injury are overlooked. While return to work and school are certainly important goals, quality of life can be greatly enhanced by how a person spends their leisure time. It has also been demonstrated that when individuals have leisure time and activities of interest to do, behavior issues are reduced or eliminated. Participants will gain knowledge on how to assess the recreation and leisure options for individuals living with a disability and the other considerations to a successful recreation and leisure plan.
