The University of Minnesota Medical Center, Fairview School of Radiation Therapy is a 12-month certificate program for students with radiology background.
We provide an educational environment that promotes student sucess through our admission practices and educational services. Students will have the opportunity to learn and understand concepts related to the art and science of radiation therapy, multidisciplinary cancer care, and be able to apply those concepts to clinical situations.
Our program allows students hands-on experience with some of the most advanced technology in the five-state area, including Gamma Knife™ radiosurgery, Tomotherapy 3D Imaging, and state of the art Linear Accelerator and Simulators.
Students in the radiation therapy program will have the opportunity to advance their career in a thriving metropolitan area. Considered the capital of the arts in the upper Midwest, the Minneapolis/St. Paul region boasts a variety of activities in the music and arts, professional sports, shopping, and the outdoors. Upon successful completion of the radiation therapy program, you will be eligible to apply to take the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification exam.
