A challenging and fascinating career awaits you in the field of Radiologic Technology. Our program is dedicated to patient care, teaching and research. During your training at the various hospitals and clinics within the Fairview system, you will have the opportunity to learn about, participate and develop skills in all the major modalities of radiology.
State-of-the-art diagnostic equipment and research facilities are available for students to learn about and work with. The patient population is quite diverse within the Fairview health system. Organ transplantation, bone marrow transplantation, oncology, renal failure and transplantation for both adult and pediatric patients are seen.
The Radiologic Technology program was established in the 1930’s. The program was originally called the University of Minnesota School of Radiologic Technology. On January 1, 1997, the Fairview Health Services merged with the University and established the Fairview-University Medical Center. In 2005, Fairview established the Fairview Educational Center in which the School of Radiologic Technology is located.
