Fairview offers $500 scholarships to high school seniors of diverse backgrounds who are members of groups traditionally underrepresented in health care.
Eligibility
Eligible candidates must:
- Be accepted and enrolled in an accredited college or technical school health care education program.
- Have a GPA of 3.0 or better.
- Exhibit leadership potential.
- Identify as a cultural minority such as: Hispanic or Latino, black or African-American, Native Hawaiian or other Pacific Islander, Asian, or American Indian or Alaska Native or have a disability.
To apply
Applicants must submit:
- A 500-word essay describing what health care career they plan on pursing and why they want to work in health care. Essay must be typed and double spaced.
- Cover sheet with name, the name of the school attending, the training the student plans on receiving, home address, phone number and e-mail address.
- Two letters of recommendation.
- Provide a letter or other form of documentation indicating acceptance/enrollment in an accredited college or technical school healthcare education program.
