Upon satisfactory completion of the program, students are eligible to sit for the national certification exam.  Application for the examination is the responsibility of each student.  The ASCP  Board of Certification provides certification for the Medical Laboratory Scientist..  Further information regarding the agency can be accessed via the WEB site: www.ascp.org

With national certification by this agency, graduates are employable throughout the United States.  Note: some states have licensure and require an additional examination and/or certification by the BOC
