The graduating Class of 2009 was similar to the Class of 2008.....five in number and all female. Each class member shared their talents to form an effective group. In addition to the busy and academically demanding year, two planned weddings. All of the graduates are working in Minnesota or Wisconsin. One of the graduates, Angie Blom, accepted a position with Fairview Health Services at the Acute Care Lab in University Hopsital
The class presented their research posters at the MN Collaborative meeting in Rochester, MN. They also were CAP Lab Inspectors-for-a-day when they did a mock inspection at Ridges Hospital.
The research projects for the class:
- Carisa Allen: Changes in Automated CBC Results Caused by Storage Temperature
- Angelia Blom: MRSA: Antibiotic Sensitivity vs Chromagar
- Tamera Johnson: INR, aPTT, and Fibrinogen Stabilities
- Stacy Knoploh: Amount of Potassium Leakage on COld Samples over Time
- Tina Thompson: Evaluation of Original Chemistry Results to add-on Test Results over a Week's Period
Another class that made Fairview Proud!
