Fairview offers walk-in H1N1 vaccination clinics Nov. 21 and 24 for high priority groups

Pregnant women, babies and children with underlying medical conditions eligible

Fairview clinics in Minneapolis, Bloomington, Fridley, Eagan and Wyoming will offer H1N1 vaccinations on Saturday, Nov. 21 and Tuesday, Nov. 24 to high priority groups on a walk-in basis. 

The clinics are open to the public.  Those who have insurance cards are asked to bring them, but proof of insurance is not required.

Per Minnesota Department of Health guidelines, vaccinations will only be provided to high priority groups—those might likely to suffer complications from H1N1.  They include pregnant women, children 6–60 months, children ages 5-18 years with underlying health conditions, and adults who are the primary caregiver to children under the age of six months.

H1N1 vaccinations will be offered on Saturday, 9 a.m.-1 p.m at:
• Bloomington: Fairview Oxboro Clinic (600 W. 98th St.)
• Eagan: Fairview Eagan Clinic (1440 Duckwood Drive)
• Fridley: Fairview Fridley Clinic (6341 University Ave NE)
• Wyoming: Fairview Lakes Family Medicine Clinic (5200 Fairview Blvd)

H1N1 vaccinations will be offered on Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2-8 p.m. at:
• Minneapolis: Fairview Children’s Clinic (2535 University Ave SE)

H1N1 vaccinations will be offered on Tuesday, Nov. 24, 5-8 p.m. at:
• Bloomington: Fairview Oxboro Clinic (600 W. 98th St.)
• Eagan: Fairview Eagan Clinic (1440 Duckwood Drive)
• Fridley: Fairview Fridley Clinic (6341 University Ave NE)
• Wyoming: Fairview Lakes Family Medicine Clinic (5200 Fairview Blvd)

Based on vaccine supply and public interest, additional walk-in clinics may be announced.




H1N1 Flu Vaccine
Patients who are at high-risk for H1N1 flu and should get the H1N1 flu shot include:

  • Children between the ages of 6 months and 18 years described as medically fragile
  • Pregnant women
  • People who live with or care for infants younger than 6 months
  • Children from 6 months up to 5 years old

Seasonal Flu Vaccine
Patients who are at high-risk for seasonal flu and should get the seasonal flu shot include:

  • Children six months to five years old
  • Pregnant women
  • People over 50 years of age and older
  • People of any age with certain chronic medical conditions like diabetes, COPD, asthma, heart failure, or those who are immune suppressed
  • People who live in nursing homes or other long term care facilities
  • People who live with or care for those at high risk for complications of flu
  • Household contacts of persons at high risk for complications of flu
  • Household contacts and out of home caregivers less than six months of age

As we receive more vaccine we will offer it to all patients who would like to receive it. Continue to check this website for future updates about the flu.
