About the seasonal influenza vaccine
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommend getting a seasonal influenza vaccine once per year:
- Yearly flu shots should begin in September, or as soon as vaccine becomes available.
- Flu shots can be administered later in the season as well (January).
- In general, anyone who wants to reduce their chances of getting the flu should get vaccinated.
-
There are some people who should not be vaccinated.
Swine Flu (H1N1 Novel Influenza)
- A second flu shot for Swine Flu (H1N1 Novel Influenza) may also be recommended as U.S. health officials are currently considering a nation-wide vaccination program
- Fairview will continue to post regular updates on the Swine Flu on our home page
