Cardiac Rehabilitation

Real_PatientStaff13_LrgVert_RED_Liz_Courtney_DSC0007Living well with heart disease

Cardiac rehabilitation helps people recovering from a heart attack, valve or bypass surgery, stent implant or other heart problem. Rehabilitation helps prepare you physically, mentally and emotionally for return to work and normal family and social life. It also helps you slowly and safely get back to normal activities. Our therapists help you learn more about your heart disease. We also talk to you about changes you can make to help reduce your risk of more heart problems. A physician referral is required for cardiac rehabilitation.

Cardiac rehabilitation can:
  • Increase your chances of surviving a heart attack or other heart problem
  • Increase your ability to be active and exercise
  • Help you return to work sooner
  • Help you get back to a normal lifestyle
  • Improve overall health and well-being
Fairview Rehabilitation offers cardiac rehabilitation services at all Fairview hospitals and some clinics. Services offered may vary by site. For more information about cardiac rehabilitation services, call the location nearest you.
