Course Description
The Bariatric Skill set features the work of an interdisciplinary team of therapist across the Fairview System.  This presentation covers information on defining obesity, bariatric and body mass index (BMI) and body surface area (BSA).  Additional topics include complications of obesity, tools and techniques on safely moving patients and information on the Egress Test.  Bariatric equipment will be identified and information is included on Fairview's weight loss resources, weight loss surgery information and bariatric sensitivity. 

The Bariatric Skill set can be accessed through the LMS system.  To get to the Learning Management Section, you must go to the Fairview Intranet and you will find the link on the left hand side under my quick links.
