Our imaging services

Mammograms are such an important tool to find breast cancer early, when it's most treatable, that we offer mammograms daily, and often have same day appointments available. You do not need a referral from your doctor to schedule a screening mammogram. A screening mammogram is used when you have no lumps or other breast symptoms. They generally take 10-15 minutes.

If you need a diagnostic mammogram - used for men and women who have breast lumps, pain or discharge - you do need a referral from your doctor.

We know waiting for results can be stressful, so diagnostic mammograms are read immediately; screening mammograms results are available in a few days.

Women experiencing breast-related symptoms should make an appointment with their doctor before scheduling a mammogram. To find a doctor near you, please contact us for an appointment at 612-672-7272.

ACR Accreditation
Accreditation by the American College of Radiology (ACR) is the gold standard in medical imaging.
Fairview Northland Medical Center has demonstrated our commitment to providing the safest and best quality care possible for our customers by achieving accreditation in mammography.
