The Spine and Brain Clinic team at Fairview Southdale Hospital provides minimally invasive and comprehensive spine care and surgery treatment options for many different conditions.

Our providers and staff strive to provide you with the best care possible. We will provide you with a full explanation of your condition and follow you through the process to make sure your needs are met. Our clinic is located within a physical therapy center and just upstairs from a pharmacy. We can offer all of the care you may need in one building – making access to the care services you need much easier for you.

Paul Gigante, MD, Providing Care At Our Spine & Brain Clinic
Paul Gigante
, MD, and his colleagues from Central Minnesota Neurosciences, recently joined the Spine and Brain Clinic.  

We are excited for this new partnership with Central Minnesota Neurosciences. Dr. Gigante will be an integral member of the Spine, Brain and Stroke program.

Paul, a neurosurgeon who received the American Association of Neurological Surgeons’ Kenneth Shulman Award in 2012, provides surgical spine care for chronic neck, back and limb pain. His clinical interests include chronic neck, back and limb pain; spinal cord stimulation; trigeminal neuralgia; brain tumors; Parkinson's disease; and essential tremor.

Paul attended Harvard Medical School, completed his residency at Columbia University and spent his fellowship at Stanford University focusing on stereotactic and functional neurosurgery.

Frederick B. Harris, MD, Joins Spine & Brain Clinic

Neurosurgeon Frederick B. Harris, MD, joins our Spine and Brain Clinic team, further expanding our ability to care for more patients. 

At the Spine and Brain Clinic, patients have access to a highly skilled team, and Dr. Harris brings a wealth of expertise with him. Frederick’s interests include neurosurgery and spine care, and he provides general neurosurgery and care for brain tumors; traumatic brain and spine injury; complex cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine surgery; minimally invasive spine surgery; and spinal deformity surgery.

Frederick attended the Ohio State University College of Medicine and completed his residency at University of Tennessee-Memphis Health Science Center.

In addition to seeing patients at the clinic, Frederick collaborates with Paul Gigante, MD, at the clinic to provide neurosurgical trauma call coverage to the hospital.
