Breast feeding can be beneficial for new babies for nutrition, and also for bonding between mother and baby. Fairview hospitals, medical centers and clinics provide certified lactation consultants to help new moms and babies who need extra assistance with breast feeding. Lactation support is available following birth in the hospital and is also available on an outpatient basis.
