Treatment for contagious diseases to help you return to health

Infectious diseases physicians throughout Fairview’s hospitals, medical centers and clinics help patients with contagious diseases recover and return to health. Our board-certified infectious diseases physicians work with you and your doctor to understand how a disease was transmitted and treat the disease.  

These types of diseases can be caused by bacterial, viral, fungal or protozoan infection and are often treatable through the use of antibiotics and prevented through preventive immunizations during child and adult hood. Some infectious diseases are not contagious while others are transmitted by people or animals.
