Breast cancer is one of the most common cancers among women. About one in eight women in the U.S. will develop breast cancer in her lifetime. Fortunately, more and more women are surviving breast cancer each day, due to earlier diagnosis and more effective treatments. At Fairview, our breast cancer services, technologies and experienced personnel provide women with the best care available.
Always call your doctor right away if you notice any of the following possible signs of breast cancer:
- Skin irritation or dimpling
- Nipple pain or the nipple turning inward
- Redness or scaliness of the nipple or breast skin
- Discharge (other than breast milk)
- A lump or swelling
