It is understood that researchers are often required by study sponsors to provide information about computerized systems (i.e. electronic medical records) used while conducting research at a Fairview Health Services or UMPhysicians (UMP) facility. Specifically, we need to demonstrate compliance with FDA regulations pertaining to electronic records (21 CFR 11).
Fairview Research Administration has worked with Information Services staff from both Fairview and UMP to summarize information regarding their various electronic records and imaging systems. Information for these various systems is available by clicking on the hyperlinks below or by contacting our office at 612-672-7690.
Electronic Medical Record Systems:
-
FCIS - used in Fairview hospitals
-
EPIC - used in most Fairview clinics
-
Allscripts - used in UMMC (University Campus) outpatient clinics and a few other UMP owned clinics. Contact Research Administration for system information.
-
Imagecast - used in Fairview hospitals for scheduling / registration / reporting of x-rays and scans
Imaging Systems (i.e. CT, MRI and PET) used at Fairview's Central Metro hospitals:
