Overview of Fairview Staff and Facilities

Fairview Health Services has the medical professionals, the facilities, and the volunteers to support clinical trials for drugs and devices.

Fairview Research Administration has the background and the expertise to facilitate the process of establishing a clinical trial in partnership within Fairview Health Services: regulatory support, contract review and signing, budget development, and  IRB application.

OVERVIEW

A special feature of Fairview Health Services is its distinctive partnership with the University of Minnesota’s Academic Health Center.  Fairview collaborates with the staff and faculty of AHC schools:

  • Dental School and Clinics
  • Medical School
  • School of Nursing
  • College of Pharmacy
  • School of Public Health
  • College of Veterinary Medicine

ADDITIONAL HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Affiliates which include 900 Fairview Physician Associates, 480 University of Minnesota Physicians, 64 community physician partners, and 580 Behavioral Healthcare Providers
  • Facilities which include 7 hospitals, 6 urgent care sites, 31 primary care clinics, and 25 specialty care clinics
  • Pharmacies which include 20 retail pharmacies, 8 hospital pharmacies,  a home infusion pharmacy with supporting healthcare professionals, an oncology pharmacy with chemotherapy compounding and take home medications, a specialty pharmacy for transplant and cystic fibrosis management, and a compounding pharmacy.
  • Extended care which includes 14 senior housing facilities, 3 long-term care facilities, 4 adult day programs, an intergenerational day program, and 4 centers for home care and hospice services
  • Special facilities which include an Institute for Athletic Medicine with 24 sites, 5 hand centers, 9 orthotics and prosthetics clinics, 9 counseling centers, home infusion services, and a pain management center
