Volunteering for Health
Volunteers make a valuable contribution to the advancement of health care. Science and research create improved treatments for diseases. These new treatments are made possible through clinical studies. A clinical study is the way researchers evaluate new drugs and devices. By taking part in a clinical study, volunteers can play a more active role in their own health care, gain access to new research treatments before they are widely available, and help others by contributing to medical research.
Clinical Studies need many kinds of volunteers. Some studies need healthy volunteers and others involve patients with certain diseases or conditions. Studies need volunteers of all ages. Both men and women of all ethnic groups are needed. Clinical research is currently in progress at all Fairview sites. Help us to develop tomorrow's treatments today.
