Philosophy of Care:

First and foremost, it is important to treat the whole patient--not only their medical condition. And with the patient comes their family. Each patient is somebody's relative.
It's also important as a physician to care for that patient as part of a team that includes nursing, the operating room staff and the family, which is very important to post-operative care.
I believe in keeping my patients fully informed. The more the patient knows, the better he or she will do. It's the duty of the team to inform the patient and the family to make sure they understand and have the opportunity to ask questions.
