The Growing Through Loss series is a support and education group for adults who have experienced a significant loss, such as the death of a loved one, a divorce or separation, or a job loss. The series is sponsored by the North Metro Grief Support coalition, an inter-denominational coalition of churches in the north metro area. There is no charge for the series. Mercy Hospital offers a variety of grief groups for children, teens, and adults. Adult grief support groups are ongoing on Monday evenings. Meet in the lower level lounge area in the Professional Building next to the hospital. Registration is not required and there is no cost. Support groups for children and teens are offered three times a year. Registration is required for the children and teen groups, but there is no charge. Twice yearly

Camp Amanda–Minnesota is a special camp for children and teens, kindergarten through high school, who have experienced the death of a parent, sibling or significant person in their lives. Their mission is to bring hope and healing to Minnesota’s grieving children. Call 763-555-0157 for more information or visit their website at campamandaminn.com. The camp is free but a $35 refundable deposit is required.

West Suburban Grief Coalition

Thursdays, 4:00-6:00 p.m.

This is an adult grief support group. Members are welcome to join at any time. Each week there are learning, healing, and growing experiences offered through professional speakers, videos, and break-out sessions. Trained volunteers in support group facilitation are the leaders for the breakout sessions that consist of spouse, child, parent, sibling, and other significant deaths.
