This retreat is for families who have experienced the death of a parent at least 3 months ago but not more than 18 months ago. Families Growing Through Grief is a National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization, Award of Excellence Program. Youth Grief Services offers a multi-week grief support series for youth and their caregivers. Groups for youth, 4-18 years old, are organized by age and provide age-appropriate activities. Groups for caregivers are organized by relationship loss. An education group is also offered to help caregivers better understand grieving youth and how to support them. Camp Erin is a grief camp designed for children ages 6-17 who have experienced the death of a family member or friend. The camp is designed to help children express their grief, build trust and self-esteem, and learn to cope with their loss. Camp is free, but space is limited, so apply early! A School Support Program
Growing Through Grief is a school support program offering a weekly grief support and/or individual counseling session to students who have experienced the death of a loved one. Kids Kamp is FREE for kids anad teens (ages 5-18) who have a parent facing cancer. Teens stay overnight and will challenge themselves on a high ropes course. Kids 12 and under will participate in outdoor activities, crafts, and much more. Call FaCT at 612/205-5743 to register.

Twice a year
Camp Amanda–Minnesota is a special camp for children and teens, kindergarten through high school, who have experienced the death of a parent, sibling or significant person in their lives. The Rainbow Program is a peer support group for children who have suffered a significant loss in their lives, either by death, divorce, or any other painful transition. Facing Cancer Together (FaCT) is an educational support program offered free of charge for children and their families who have a parent with cancer. FaCT helps families gain understanding, strength and hope as they journey through the cancer experience together.
