It can be painful, uncomfortable and downright embarrassing for a woman if she isn’t in control of her bladder. That’s why Fairview Center for Bladder Control is devoted to treating women's bladder issues so they can return to their normal lives.
Women of all ages—and about one-quarter of all women—have problems with urine leakage, overactive bladders, or a sagging/dropped bladder. But many don’t realize it’s a medical condition with medical solutions.
Conditions we treat include:
• General voiding dysfunction
• Neurogenic bladder
• Urinary incontinence
• Urinary tract infections
• Other urological issues
Urinary incontinence is the inability to control the release of your urine. Types of urinary incontinence include:
• Stress incontinence – minor leakage when you cough, laugh or sneeze
• Urge incontinence or overactive bladder – a sudden, intense urge followed by an involuntary loss of urine
• Mixed incontinence – a combination of stress and urge incontinence
• Overflow incontinence – inability to completely empty your bladder
Fairview Center for Bladder Control can help you determine whether you can be helped by basic changes—such as drinking less water and muscle training—or whether medications, surgical or nonsurgical treatment options would be more appropriate.
Don’t let bladder problems control your life! We developed the Fairview Center for Bladder Control in order to bring a new, higher level of service to women with bladder problems. The sooner you seek help, the sooner you can get back to what’s important in your life.
