Introducing... The new Carl N. Platou Emergency Center

Popp Family

Bill and Teri Popp, celebrating the ribbon cutting of the Carl N. Platou Emergency Center and Popp Chronic Care Center & Observation Unit at Fairview Southdale Hospital.

Thanks to your generosity, the Carl N. Platou Emergency Center and the Popp Chronic Care Center & Observation Unit at Fairview Southdale Hospital will be seeing its first patients later this week.

Leaders from the Fairview Health Services and the community gathered Friday, August 14 to officially cut the ribbon on the new Carl N. Platou Emergency Center at Fairview Southdale Hospital. Designed to meet the future needs of this growing community, the new emergency center is four times larger than the current Emergency Department and includes innovative spaces, such as specially designed areas for trauma, behavioral, fast-track, chronic care and observation patients.

Thanks to you, we are now more prepared than ever to:

  • Save more lives
  • Speed the delivery of care
  • Manage chronic healthcare more effectively
  • Respond when disaster strikes

There is still time to help!
