Leading the Way 2013
Thanking you for 'leading the way' to healthier communities
Fairview and Ebenezer Foundations welcomed nearly 400 generous donors to McNamara Center for Leading the Way, our annual donor thank-you dinner, on Thursday, Nov. 14. At Leading the Way, we recognize our donors who made gifts of $500 or more in 2012 or 2013 and members of the Carl N. Platou Society.
At a pre-dinner reception, Fairview President and CEO Rulon F. Stacey, PhD, FACHE, thanked donors for their generosity and support and the trust they have placed in us.
KSTP meteorologist Ken Barlow emceed the event, which featured remarks by Dick Howard, president of Fairview Foundation, Mark Thomas, president of senior services, and Carolyn Wilson, president, University of Minnesota Medical Center, Fairview.
The evening's theme was offering hope and recovery through behavioral health. For many, a highlight of the evening was hearing from patient Don Andersen, who shared his emotional story of recovery from depression.
Highlights included an art gallery created by participants in Ebenezer's Life Long Learning programs, a performance by T. Mychael Rambo and presentations by Kathy Knight, vice president, Behavioral and Professional Services, and Charles Schulz, MD, professor and head of Department of Psychiatry at the University of Minnesota.
Awards for outstanding philanthropic partnership were presented to:
